Empowering Women Entrepreneurs and Fostering Collaboration in the Mediterranean
AFAEMME (Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen) and ASCAME (Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry) successfully hosted the XIV Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Forum at the esteemed Bibliotheca Alexandrina. This momentous event, held under the banner of the 100th Anniversary of Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and the 40th Anniversary of ASCAME, also coincided with AFAEMME’s own 20th Anniversary since its establishment.
With a resounding focus on «Youth and Climate Entrepreneurship Exchanges and Business Opportunities from North and South in the Mediterranean,» this edition of the forum witnessed the coming together of women entrepreneurs from 14 countries across the Mediterranean region. For the first time since the onset of the pandemic, AFAEMME successfully organized this inspiring gathering, inviting 20 distinguished panelist speakers who represented AFAEMME’s member organizations. These esteemed speakers, including the Presidents Members of AFAEMME, shared their expertise, experiences, and best practices, addressing the emerging challenges faced by entrepreneurs within their associations or companies.
Throughout the event, the Women leaders passionately shared their experiences, highlighting the issues faced by women worldwide in their pursuit of freedom and financial independence. They expressed unwavering solidarity with women from all walks of life and emphasized the significance of initiatives and programs such as the EBSOMED project in driving positive change and fostering women’s economic empowerment.
The XIV Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Forum served as a catalyst for collaboration and fruitful exchanges between entrepreneurs hailing from the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean. The event showcased the resilience, ingenuity, and determination of women entrepreneurs in overcoming obstacles and propelling economic growth within their communities.
